Mmm . . .well, where should I begin? For a writer (at least for me), this can be an awkward question. I would much rather tell you about the main character of my book, Maggie, and talk about what's happening in her world. Probably because it's more interesting and entertaining than the real thing (at least I hope you find that the case)!
Before I began writing, I worked many years in the field of human resources for a large corporation, Target. (Yes, it's still my favorite store). At Target, when we had a new group come together we often would start the meeting with an icebreaker. My most dreaded icebreaker was Two Truths and A Lie. Have you ever had to do this? You might think that this would be a fun excercise for a writer . . . HOWEVER . . . I must not work well under pressure or something because I HATED this one. One time I got so caught up in thinking about how much I was dreading the sharing part of the interaction that I wrote Three Truths and No Lie. I always did like to forge my own path but that was a bit embarassing. (Bonus - if you are one of my former co-workers and you remember this, let me know!)
I have been blessed to be able to live a life of leisure, and I stay home to manage our household. If you believe that managing three schedules, volunteering at church, cooking 1,068 meals a year, and constantly letting the dog out to relieve herself is leisurely, then you can come and help me for a week.
I have been a voracious reader my entire life. I love a light-hearted story that provides mystery, romance and humor. I'm fascinated by historical fiction - and love imagining how I would survive in the past. I have read thousands of books, and this passion led me to write my own series. If you are a reading fanatic you may relate to the "panic" of not having a good book to read (like that's possible in today's world). So, by creating my own series and story, I don't ever have to worry about that happening. Whew! What a load off!
That's enough about me for now - if you have questions, please submit them to info@brendabrophy.com and be sure to connect with me on facebook.
